Welcome to A Reason To Read – the home of all things book review.

Basically I love to read and I love to write – and I particularly love to write about reading. Hence the birth of this blog.

The genres you will mostly see here are memoirs, historical fiction, realistic fiction, and creative non-fiction. I can almost guarantee that you won’t find a sci-fi or horror review among my posts – unless a dear friend suddenly decides to write in those genres – otherwise, it’s not happening here. You might see some fantasy but I have to be able to identify and almost believe the characters in those genres.

I do not get compensated for my book reviews but I do get a lot of books directly from the authors. You can be sure though that I will not recommend a book that I did not enjoy reading. I won’t be ugly or malicious in my reviews but I will be completely honest.
